Kitchen Ventilation
TAB services for Type 1 (grease) & Type 2 (heat) Kitchen Exhaust Hoods with or without make-up air units (MUA’s).
Left unbalanced, kitchen exhaust hoods can cause, uncomfortable employees, cold food, poor Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), building pressures, and temperature control issues.
Isolation Room Certification
Testing & regulating airflow in isolation rooms to ensure proper air change rates and pressurization. Calibration & balancing of supply/exhaust phoenix valves and/or VAV systems which serve as flow-regulating devices for isolation rooms.
Fume Hood Testing & Certification
Performance testing, velocity measurements, and airflow smoke tests should be done annually or after any adjustments to the ventilation system. We Test & Certify Fume hoods in accordance the CSA Z316.5-15- Fume Hoods & WorkSafe BC OHS Guidelines – Part 30.
Fire Damper Verification
Fire dampers are passive fire protection devices used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) ducts to prevent the spread of fire inside the ductwork through fire-resistance-rated walls and floors. As per ANSI/UL 555 / NFPA 80, an operational test needs to be conducted on the fire damper(s) as soon as the installation process is completed (NFPA 80 – 19.3.1 / .2).
HVAC Surveys
Conducted for creating baseline measurements of systems and equipment. Provides the opportunity for troubleshooting any possible issues and should be done prior to improvements to system airflow capacity.
